How do I use the DB to XML feature with MySQL or other JDBC databases? I tried SequelLink but I received the following error when I tried to use it:
java.sql.SQLException: [StylusStudio][SequeLink JDBC Driver]Internal network error, session aborted due to session protocol data unit format error, connection closed.

Hi Lawrence,

Did you read the chapter "Creating an ODBC System Data Source" in the online help?
http://www.stylusstudio.com/configure_data_source.html

Did you install Sequelink Socket Server?

Which ODBC driver did you try?

Are you able to test the ODBC connection from the control panel?

Is the Sequelink service running?

Is the Sequelink service installed on the same machine where Stylus Studio is running?

Thank You
Ivan Pedruzzi

Yes I read the chapter about ODBC and I did install the software, but JDBC doesn't typically use ODBC. Do I need to use the ODBC Server program?

Thanks,
Larry

DB to XML data source does not support plugging third party JDBC drivers.

In order to access MySQL you will need to run Sequelink SocketServer and configure an ODBC System Data Source based on the MySQL ODBC driver as explained in the documentation.

DataDirect Technologies has been working on the JDBC driver for MySQL for quite a while, the driver is ready to go but unfortunately MySQL AB doesn't want to address the legal issues preventing us to bring this great technology into the market place.

Hope this helps
