STYLUS can read XML UNICODE files? If yes, how? If not, it is very bad!!!

Hi, Stefan. Yes, Stylus Studio can read UNICODE (and other non-ASCII character formats). If the file has a .xml extension, you should be able to open it as you would any XML file.

You can also use the Convert-to-XML module to convert non-XML files (binary, EDI, RTF, CSV, and others) to XML. To learn more about this module, go to this page:

http://www.stylusstudio.com/xml_videos.html

and click Data Integration > Converting Flat Files into XML.

Hope this helps.

I can open my file with Netscape. It look nice in Word or Notepad. In Stylus is something like this:

Hi, Stefan. The file you supplied is not UNICODE. It's plain ASCII. The reason it looks as it does in Stylus Studio is that Stylus Studio sees the encoding="UNICODE" and decodes what is it given. The reason it looks ok in Winword (for example) is that Winword doesn't try to interpret the encoding.

To see the file correctly in Stylus Studio, delete the encoding attribute. You can always add it back once the file is in the XML Editor.

Hope this helps.
