In most cases "*" key on keyboard does "Expand All".
There are some exceptions, for example in schema diagram
"*" does nothing - such operation in this case can take significant amount of time.

Hi,

Its great that this facility is available, but could it be added to the menu (Edit?) as well? I certainly was unaware this feature existed, and I had really been missing this.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi,

I just tested this and found that asterix (*) key does not expand all, or in fact expand, elements in the tree view. Nor does it seem to work in the grid view. Plus (+) will expand the current element in the tree view, but doesn't seem to in the grid view.

Is there some other way to do an Expand/Collapse all - partcularly in the XML Tree view - and if not can this feature please be added?

Thanks,
Matt

PS I'm using Enterprise 2006 r3.

You have to use the numeric pad asterisk. Shift-8-asterisk doesn't work.

Indeed it would be far better if this functionality were available from right click on the element node as well as a menu button for it.
