In that dialog you are asked to enter the name of the server, with an
optional IP port; it doesn't accept a full URL.

Request to allow a full URL such as "http://www.mydomain.com/webdav/"

Hi Paul,

In the Open File dialog you can type the URL
in the URL field at any time even if "WebDav Server" is no selected.

Try File -> Open then type http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-xslt-19991116.xml

Ivan

Dear Ivan,

I was aware of this possibility, but in this case you need to know the filename and path in advance.
What I would like is that I can browse a webdav store, also when the root http address is not webdav enabled.
E.g. http://www.mydomain.com/ -> not webdav enabled
But http://www.mydomain.com/pages ->webdav enabled

Paul,

Sorry for misunderstanding your words.

Implementing such a feature in a generic way is problematic:
Browsing a virtual root will likely return an html page.
How can Stylus interpret that page to display a list of WebDav stores?

Ivan

I'm not able to give you a technical solution,
but I see that both Spy and Oxygen allow you to put in the address http://www.mydomain.com/webdav, being webDAV enabled from this path,
and allow you to browse the store.

This is the same functionality as under the existing webDAV button in Studio, but here I'm only allowed to use http://www.mydomain.com/
