Christos KarrasSubject: Using a custom URIResolver with Xalan-J
Author: Christos Karras

Is there a way to configure the Stylus Xalan-J processor to use a custom URIResolver?

I'm trying to use Stylus to edit some XSLT stylesheets that reads a generated in-memory XSL file using a custom URIResolver, but I'm not able to use the WYSIWYG mode because the default URIResolver is only able to resolve URIs on the file system. The only work around I've found is to generate a static version of the generated files and use file:// URIs to read them. However when I'm finished editing the stylesheets, I have to change back all the URIs to allow them to be recognized by the custom URIResolver.

It would be nice to have this feature if it's not already there.

Hi Christos

If you are running 5.x you could try to write a Stylus Custom File
System.
Custom file system let you wrap virtually any data source with 2 simple
java classes: StylusFileSystem, StylusFile.
You can find an example under \examples\CustomFileSystem and
a description of how to register it in the online help.
