Lee HumphriesSubject: SS Bug: Hangs on Export Preview/Create Scenario

I use the attached XSLT to reprocess HTML files generated through the documentation tab, resetting the paths to any JPEG files.

However, since 100k, the Export Preview and the Create Scenario Browse for this XSLT don't work. Specifically they won't bring up the common file dialog. Instead SS just hangs.

I guess you forgot the file.

What you are describing looks like Stylus trying to open an unaccessible
network resource. I would expect you get the same behavior when you click
on any Open or Save As button. Is that the case?

You're right, I did forget to attach the file. Anyway since moving to 4.5 103f I haven't had this issue.

Having said that is there any way to simplify the generation of the XSD documentation. It is extremely useful, but it has a few quirks that make it tedious to work with.

1. For a given Schema it seems to generate JPEG images for not just those types that will appear in the documentation, but every type in every included schema.
2. If you change any of the options settings it seems to regenerate all of the above JPEGs, even though it probably doesn't need to.
3. If you try saving the HTML it regenerates all of the above JPEGs, even though you could probably get them out of the temp directory.
4. Considering that so many JPEGs seem to get regenerated there isn't any option to have the generated JPEGS put in a common directory and logically detached from the HTML (so they don't get deleted/moved/copied with it).
5. If you change any the option settings they don't seem to get retained from one XSD to the next.

All the above observations make sense, we will try to address them for
the next update.

Considering that the option settings are shared among all documents,
this should happen only when you have multiple xsd documentations
opened, if you change the settings then system will recompute only the
one you are working on. In any case if you switch tab back and for you
should see the desired result.

Related to this, I was trying to process the generated HTML using that XSLT I referred to earlier. When I try it against the other XSLT processors they all have difficulties. It seems that they can't get the xhtml1-strict.dtd defined in the generated HTML. I appreciate this is probably not a Stylus problem but do you have any suggestions?

Here's the error as MSXML3 and 4 report it:
External XSLT processing started...

Error occurred while loading document 'c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WorkCardXSD\wcInterchange-v1.0.html'.
