Subject:SS4 build88: error after selecting a template Author:Hans-Peter Küchler Date:13 Jun 2002 10:52 AM
Hi, I have a style sheet with some templates open in "XSLT Source" view. I select a template from the drop down list box on the top of the window. The text cursor changes its position to the first line of the selected template, column 1. But now I can't use the keyboard to move the cursor or to write a character. I have to click into the edit area of the window to set the keyboard focus to the edit pane and to use the cursor keys.
Btw. is it possible to make the drop down list box greater? Only five visible items is very very small! An can you sort the entries in this box? My preferred sort order is: first by mode, second by match, third by priority, fourth by name. But any sorting will help.

This was likely a problem in 3.1 too; we'll fix it.

We kept is small because we thought the best way to select/find an entry is=
what mentioned below.

I'm adding this to our PCR database; it may be worth noting that you can
currently type in the expanded combo box and whatever you type will
restrict the list of displayed templates to those whose match or name
attribute match the typed characters.

Very nice hint. Where can I read all about those informations? In one of my last posting you gave me another good tip with keyboard acceleration, but I can't look every time at your (very good) WebBoard;-)

It's tough to document and keep track of all these small tips and tricks;
we'll try compiling a reasonable FAQ.
In the meanwhile, whenever you find anything difficult/impossible to do,
feel free to ask us.
