Hi Stylus Team!

I have some questions about Stylus Studio 4.0.

1.) The HTML WYSIWYG Editor comes
( ) later (not specified)
( ) in Build 4._._
( ) never (don't hope so!)
Please choose one!

2.) The .jsp Editor does highlight (in yellow) <% and <%@, but doesn't highlight <%! (Declarations).

3.) Are there any plans to support the java-function-pop-up (Sense:X) also in .jsp files? This would be very helpful.

4.) The .java Editor pops up all the standard functions (e.g. when you type "System." then "err,in,out,..." will be shown), but it doesn't work with declared variables (e.g. I define "HttpServletRequest request" and when I type "request." nothing pops up). Are there any plans to implement this? (The good old Visual J++ does this very nicely.)

5.) When I create a stylesheet, define a source XML which is stored in XIS, turn on the "XML Schema" (so that the structure is showed on the right) and I have turned off the "Automatically check for modified files", then I have no chance to reload the xml-file when I make changes in XIS to the xml-source! Now I need to shut down stylus completely to get the xml-source reloaded. A button for this or a right click menu in the structure with "reload this file" would help a lot!

So this are my first beta comments.

Thanks for such a great product!

Chris

4.1, in beta in mid May.

I'll let Ivan and Alberto answer the other questions.

Thanks,
Minollo

Hi Chris,
thanks for noticing this missing functionality; we will change the Edit |
Reload Document command to also refresh the source XML document.

As a temporary workaround you can press the button to open the source XML
in a separate window (or select XSLT | Open Scenario XML Document), then
invoke Edit | Reload Document to force a reload of the XML document, and
finally change scenario in the XSLT window (e.g. switch to Scenario2 and
then back to Scenario1).

Hi Alberto!

I'm not sure if this makes sense. The Reload Document command reloads my xsl
file from the last save. Now in development maybe I haven't saved the xsl
file but I want to reload the xml source! (e.g. I don't use a source control
and so I want to test something with the changed xml source, but don't want
to save the xsl changes).

I think a "Reload XML-Source button" (maybe in a right click menu) would be
nice. Other good places: You reload the xml-source if you turn on the
xml-schema or everytime you close the Scenario Properties.

Thanks for your answer

Chris

This is a bug, it will be fixed in the next beta

We don't plane to implement a similar feature soon :-(
What we are investigating is the possibility to auto-complete JSP tags
based on the JSP schema.

It should. Are you sure to have the classpath set correctly ?
Check under
Tools->Options->Java Virtual Machine->ClassPath

As experiment try to add dxeserver.jar to the stylus classpath
BTW: You need to save the file after his creation before using senseX.
