Hi Adriana,
Stylus Studio bundles the XMLConverters and DDXQ XQuery engine with a license that allow them to be used only from the GUI. If you want to package and deploy the generated code so that it can be run stand-alone (even on non-Windows platforms) you will have to buy a license for both of them (see their dedicated web sites for more informations: http://www.xmlconverters.com/buy/faq.html and http://www.xquery.com/buy/faq.html)

Hope this helps,
Alberto

Hi Alberto !

I found the following text in EULA :

"If the Product is Stylus Studio XML Enterprise Suite, the following requirements shall apply:

1. Stylus Studio XML Enterprise Suite includes DataDirect XML Converters which are subject to the requirement in Section 9 of these Additional Use Parameters above.
2. Stylus Studio XML Enterprise Suite includes DataDirect XQuery which is subject to the requirements set forth in Section 8 of these Additional Use Parameters above."

I understood if I buy the Stylus Studio XML Enterprise Suite I have the license for XML Converters and XQuery, is it ?

Thanks again !!!!

Hi Adriana,
yes, Stylus Studio includes DataDirect XML Converters and DataDirect XQuery, that you can use with no restrictions from within Stylus Studio. However, if you want to use them separately, e.g. from a standalone Java program, you must buy a standalone license for one (or both) of them.
