Steen NielsenSubject: Bug (?): Page up/down don't goto same amount of lines
Author: Steen Nielsen

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but I think that it is an annoyance, that shouldn't be there, so I would like to vote to get it streamlined.

When you press page down, it moves 37 lines down in my editor, but when pressing page up, it moves 38 lines up. This is pretty annoying, if you are just moving down a couple of views to take a look at something and then go back up. In this case, the cursor will no longer be in the same position as it started out to be.

The amount of lines differ as it should, depending on the size of the editor-view, but I am not changing the window or editor-view size between the page up/down events.

I'd like this to get fixed, as it's really annoying.

Anybody else experiencing the same and would like it to be fixed?

I advise to use bookmarks for jumping back and for,

- CTRL + F2 set a bookmark
- F2 go to the next
- SHIFT + F2 go to previous

Hope this helps
Ivan

That is a rather cumbersome way to go around it, although it might work for some temporarily until a new version comes out with the bugfix.
