Marc FeickertSubject: Richer XML debugging

A thorn in my work is when I am giving an XML file that may or may not be well-formed. Currently in Stylus, when I check for well-formedness and have problems in the file, Stylus finds the first error and then quits. If my XML has 40 errors in it, I have to run the check at least 40 times, and all I know is that, for instance, I do not have an ending tag for an element without knowing where the beginning tag is.

I have looked at a free program called XML Marker. It (in a very small app) has a great debugging feature that finds the errors, lists them, and walks you through each one to help you correct the XML. Sure would be nice to have a similar thing in Stylus... I love this tool, but i still have to sometimes use three different applications (Stylus included) to debug and clean up my XML. I'd love to just use one!

Hi Marc,
thank you for your suggestion; in the next major release of Stylus we'll add an option to continue validation even after a fatal error has been found.

Thanks,
Alberto
