I generated java cod with Xquery 'Generate Java Code' and
then brought this Java Code under our servlet environment.

Hi Karlheinz,

The DataDirect XQuery processor does not allow to use a generic SQL connection object. You will need to use the XQJ API to connect to the database, see the configuration file that Stylus Studio generates for you.

Hope this helps

Hi Ivan,

is there an other possibility to export data from Oracle
using a java.sql.connection.

Is DB to XML Data source a way ?

It is important for us to have Java-code, which we could integrate into our application.

Karlheinz,

Why are you force to use an existing java.sql.connection?

What prevents you to configure DataDirect XQuery to connect to the same Oracle database?

Thanks

1. We work in the finance sector and must serve security egulations.
I would not like to have any other configuration file with passwords for this reason on the servers our customers. I'm clear that i can save the
password encrypted, but I must leave certifcate this again.

2. Oracle licenses.
We have Oracel installation, with which we are at the border of the number of connections. This can mean for the user that he/it doesn't get any connection although he/it is in our application and the process cannot be executed.

Another question, can i install jar files of third-suppliers ( data direct ) and generated java code without further on customer server ?

thx
Karlheinz

You don't need to save the configuration file on disk, you can pass any kind of InputStream.

I am not sure what you mean by:
<<"can i install jar files of third-suppliers ( data direct ) and generated java code without further on customer server ?">>

To deploy DataDirect XQuery you will need to purchase license(s).
