if(true)
{
String a,b,c,d;

if(true)
{

if(true)
{
a="str1";
}
else{
a="str2";
}

if(true)
{
b="str3";
}
else{
b="str4";
}

if(true)
{
c="str5";
}
else{
c="str6";
}
}
else{
a="str7";
b="str8";
c="str9";
}

d=a+b+c;
}

Regards,
Yasodhar.

You don't put things in order like that in XSLT.
The trick is to define your variables like this:
<xsl:variable name="...">
<xsl:if test="...">
...
</xsl:if>
</xsl:variable>

or

<xsl:variable name="...">
<xsl:choose>
<xsl:when test="...">
...
</xsl:when>
<xsl:otherwise>
...
</xsl:otherwise>
</xsl:choose>
</xsl:variable>

Then, at the end, you can concatenate them like this:

<xsl:variable name="..." select="concat($a,$b,$c)"/>
or
<xsl:variable name="..."><xsl:value-of select="concat($a,$b,$c)"/></xsl:variable>

Remember that variables are scoped to their enclosing element.

Stop thinking about the program fetching the data, and think instead
about the XML flowing through the program.
