lynn lobashSubject: Need help writing conditional statement
Author: lynn lobash

I am trying to format the physdesc, arrangement and scopecontent elements below one way where @level="series" or @level="subseries" and another where @level="file" or there is no attribute level. To complicate matters I have already used template match='c01 | c02 | c03 | co4' so I also need to write a new mode (???)

thanks for any help.

<dsc type="combined">
<c01 level="series"><did><unittitle><unitdate></unitdate></unittitle>
<physdesc></physdesc></did><arrangement></arrangement><scopecontent><p></p>
</scopecontent>

<c02 level="subseries"><did><unittitle><unitdate></unitdate></unittitle>
<physdesc></physdesc></did><arrangement></arrangement><scopecontent><p></p>
</scopecontent>

<c03 level="file"><did><unittitle><unitdate></unitdate></unittitle>
<physdesc></physdesc></did><arrangement></arrangement><scopecontent><p></p>
</scopecontent>

<c04><did><unittitle><unitdate></unitdate></unittitle>
<physdesc></physdesc></did><arrangement></arrangement><scopecontent><p></p>
</scopecontent></c04></c03></c02></c01>

Hi Lynn,
inside your template you can insert a xsl:choose that take the appropriate path depending on the attributes present on the node.

Hope this helps,
Alberto
