I need a value-of select statement to take information from the following string:

onclick_="parent.strurl='i0a3b291.dwf';parent.strtitle='Figure 3-165 Interconnect Overview';"

and transform to:

src="i0a3b291"

I have tried everything, but the single quotes (apostrophes) are messing me up. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

An easy way to make your life easier is:

<xsl:variable name="apos">'</xsl:variable>
<xsl:value-of select="substring-before(substring-after(@onclick__, $apos), '.')"/>
