Steve SingerSubject: Removing &nbs; ?
Author: Steve Singer

Hi -- I'm building a style sheet and I noticed that the text in certain tables was not breaking. Turns out that is because the data is being sent with non-breaking spaces embedded instead of blanks. Is there any way in XSL to easily remove the characters and replace them with a blank?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried using the strip-space element?

<xsl:strip-space elements = "*"/>

You can also use the preserve=space element to keep white space in certain areas of your document, if desired.

<xsl:value-of select="translate( ...string... , ' ', ' ')"/>
