------------------------------------------------------------------
<xsl:variable name="metadataPaneState">display</xsl:variable>
<xsl:template match="idstatus">
<xsl:apply-templates select="dmaddres/dmtitle" mode="dm_title"/>

<xsl:if test="$metadataPaneState = 'none'">
<a href="javascript:void(toggleLayer('metadataPane'))">Metadata</a>
</xsl:if>
<div id="metadataPane" style="display:{$metadataPaneState}">
<table class="metadataPane" bgcolor="#99CCFF">
<xsl:apply-templates/>
<tr>

Do you mean that if you click the hyperlink on the generated HTML that the DIV does not dissapear? Assuming your HTML was produced correctly by the XSLT file, this is a Javascript/CSS problem (i.e. post to a relevant forum). Otherwise, please provide more information (i.e. a working XSLT file, the toggle Javascript, etc).

Regards,
Juan M Uys
