Mark MilnerSubject: images from xml
Author: Mark Milner

I am a newbie trying to parse an xml document provided through an affiliate scheme and show the associated product images in xsl.

Following the video tutorial for the WYSISYG editor it tells me to alter the image.jpg path to {@id}.jpg in order for the image to change, specific to the product. Unfortunately this does not work and there is not an id attribute. All that I have is an imageURL attribute for each product, with the images hosted remotely by the affiliate company.

Obviously inserting an image with the path of one product image brings a result, but this just repeats the same image for each product.

Hope this makes sense, forgive my ignorance.

Did you try {@imageURL}?

You should post a sample of your XML to get a more accurate response.

I did try {@imageURL} however Stylus Studio seemed to automatically delete this from the code.

Please find attached sample code.

The root element is <products>

Do you mean add another child element? If so what should the enclosed data be?

In your case imageURL is an element not an attribute; you have to use

<img hspace="0" src="{imageURL}" align="baseline" border="0"/>

See the attached example

Hope this helps
