I have installed Stylus Studio 2006 R2 XML Enterprise Edition and Berkeley DB XML 2.4.13.

I have set the PATH and CLASSPTH veriables. When i go to browse the Berkeley DB XML i drill down the db.dbxml that i want to open and then get the following error

Cannot open container PATH:/Databasepath/db.dbxml.
com.sleepycat.dbxml.XmlException: Error: Permission denied, errcode = DATABASE_ERROR

If i click on details below is what i see.

at com.stylusstudio.sleepycat.dbxml.DBXMLFile.listFiles(DBXMLFile.java:88)

I have checked the permissions on the network path and the user has modify permissions on the folder with all the DB files

I was wondering if there is an dditional log file that will prove a little more useful to me. I have never used Stylus studio or DB XML so unfortunatly this is very foreign to me.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this.

The documentation for Stylus Studio indicates which versions of
BDB are compatible.

First, you should consider upgrading to 2006 release 3, which for you
would be a free upgrade.

The list of supported versions for 2006 release 3 is at

Thanks for the Reply Tony. I have looked over the stylus website and can't find the upgrade for R3. Is this a standalone package ? can you possibly point me in the right direction. I found the page below and downloaded the latest patch for Stylus Studio 2006 R2 XML but obviously it's not R3.
