Jan VerhoekSubject: Setting Saxon parameters in pipeline
Author: Jan Verhoek

I have written a 'up-conversion' XSLT which means that I read in a ascii file to convert to xml using the XSLT 2.0 unparsed-text() function. In order to get anything processed I need to call a 'main' template by setting the Saxon parameters in Settings on the Processor tab of the Scenario properties in field 'Start transformation by calling named template (-it)'. This all works fine!

Now I want to use this XSLT in a Pipeline.

Unfortunately this does not work. No content is processed probably due to the fact that there is no way of setting the before mentioned parameters in the Pipeline XSLT node.

Is there a way to do that? Or can I modify the generated Java output to do that, and how would that look like?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, what you are trying to do is currently not possible; in the coming version later this year, you will at least be able to modify the generated Java code easily to do what you are trying to do.

Would you be interested in trying out a pre-release of the new XML Pipeline Java generation module? If yes, please drop us an email at stylus-field-report@progress.com

Thanks.
