Subject:How to set Custom Validation Engine ? Author:Matt Adams Date:09 Jul 2004 05:59 PM
When I go to the menu
Tools->options->ModuleSettings->XMLEditor->CustomValidationEngine
I can mark one of the listed engines (e.g. Xerces) as my preferred
engine.
Then I clicked <ok> and thought that the new engine is fixed permanently.
However if I go to the selection list back again the selection is
disabled and the first entry (MSXML 4.0 SAX Parser) is chosen as before.
How do I permanently choose a certain engine for validation?
Matt

What gave you this perception?
The selection reflects what settings are display below the list, nothing
more.

The default action for the validation button is always to validate with
the Stylus parser (Xerces C++). If you want to use a different one you
have to click on the pop-up list.
