I was trying to switch from one project to another this morning and found that unexpectedly unintuitive. Part of my confusion was that I had some "Other Documents" open. I tend to think of them as part of the project (since they are at the same level as the project name in the project pane) although I suspect Stylus doesn't treat them that way.
Anyway, you might think about adding a "Close Project" option.
On navigating, I stick a shortcut to my most-used directories on the desktop but I can't use these in stylus. Any chance of that changing?

Well, they are not really "part-of the project"; the "Other Documents"
folder is a sibling of the project one; they are conceptually at the same
level of the project; whatever document is open (implicitly or explicitly)
in Stylus Studio, and is not part of a project, that's in the "Other
Documents" folder.

The "New Project" is absolutely equivalent to what a Close Project would do.

Yes, that's in our todo list; we'll work on that soon.
