Siarom,
I'm assuming you need this in an XSL-FO application. (There are other ways to make PDF too, even with XSLT.) The capability you're describing isn't supported by XSL-FO as such, but it is commonly supported, at least by the major commercial vendors of FO engines, through extension functions. So it depends on your formatter. Check out the documentation of your formatter and/or ask the folks who distribute it. For example the "Title:" text would have the Document title; "Author:" the computer/server name (from environmental variable) on which the PDF was generated; "Subject:" may be some thing like a file number or other name; "Keywords:" will have something like the stylesheet version number, etc. ====================================================================== Wendell Piez mailto:wapiez@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mulberry Technologies, Inc. http://www.mulberrytech.com 17 West Jefferson Street Direct Phone: 301/315-9635 Suite 207 Phone: 301/315-9631 Rockville, MD 20850 Fax: 301/315-8285 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mulberry Technologies: A Consultancy Specializing in SGML and XML ======================================================================
