Oops, TWO dots. I should never have tuned that keyboard repeat delay so low.

And, BTW I'm not trying to annoy anyone with details; I need to find a safe way of concatenating XSL match patterns with context nodes and selection paths. And for this, I have to establish whether it's harmless to leave self::node() floating around, not matter what the context.
