There seems to be something about nbsp that coerces people into
spreading misinformation.

Whether you enter the character as character data or as   or (after
having defined the entity) as   has _no effect_ on the running of
the stylesheet.

The same result (which might be character data, or   or  )
will be produced however you input the file.
