does anyone knows how to make a loop for in xsl.
Something more like .

   <xsl:loop name="i" from="1" to="10" step="1">
      $i
   </xsl:loop>

<xsl:for-each select="//a-lot-of-canned-nodes[position() <= 10]"> <xsl:value-of select="position()"/> </xsl:for-each>

But could you explain why do you want such cheating in a declarative language like xslt?
