That's a really odd thing to do.

Firstly the ./ at the beginning of a select expression never does
anything, so that is the same as

<xsl:value-of select="*/following-sibling::h"/>

This selects all children of the current element, and then selects all
their siblings which are h elements. These h elements will also be
children of the current element so this is just
<xsl:value-of select="h"/>
unless the first element is an h in which case it is ommitted.
If you really want that then it's
<xsl:value-of select="*[self::h and position()!=1]"/>
