Getting Date today?

Hey all,

	Does Saxon2 parser have javascript extensions? 
	And if so I could get the date from a javascript Date object, right?
	Could this possibly work?

<?xml version="1.0"?> 
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
 xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format">

...	
	<script>
		function getTodaysDate() {
			date = Date.getDate() + "/" + Date.getMonth() + "/" + Date.getYear();
			return date;
		}
	</script>  
...
	<fo:block space-before.optimum="30pt" font-size="8pt" text-align="center">
	Generated: <script> getTodaysDate(); </script>
	</fo:block>
...
	
	Could this possibly work?
