Subject: XML to HTML problem
Hi,
I'm trying to develop a servlet that will take an xslt doc and and xml doc,
and spit out an html doc. However, I'm having some problems.
The html document that gets produced still has the xsl tags in it! How do I
get rid of these? (PS, i've used both oracle xsl api and xalan,
both produce similar results)
Here's the date I used (very simple)
XML:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl"?>
<greeting>
Hello World.
</greeting>
XSL:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<html xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xsl:version="1.0">
<head><title>Greeting</title></head>
<body>Words of greeting:<br/>
<b><i><u>xsl:value-of select="greeting"/></u></i></b>
</body>
</html>
HTML result:
<html>
<head>
<title>Greeting</title>
</head>
<body>Words of greeting:<br>
<b><i>
<u>xsl:value-of select="greeting"/></u>
</i></b>
</body>
</html>
is there something wrong with either the template or the xml doc?
