In the latest version of the ISO/IEC specification currently being voted on this text reads:

"prefix the name with the character $."

... in Annexes C, H and J. The dollar sign remains absent in Annexes L and M and so warrants an editorial comment.

Well spotted!

Hello everbody,

Dunno if this is the right place to complain, but I think that the PDF
of Schematron's second edition might contain an misleading error.

I seems to me that the character used for signifying the use of
parameter of an abstract pattern on page 11, in Annex C, Annex H,
Annex J, and Annex K somehow got lost in the PDF.

E.g. the first sentence of Annex C reads: "The notation for signifying
the use of parameter of an abstract pattern is to prefix the name
token with the character."

The first edition defines the character as $ (U+0024) and reads:
"...is to prefix the name token with the $ character."

I also noticed, that section 6.3 of the first edition ("Schema
Semantics") is missing from the second edition.

Is this intentional? I found the description in this section very
helpful to get a better understanding of how a schematron processor
works or is supposed to work.

Best,
