Thanks for your commentary on my message. In point of fact,
I actually agree with almost all of what you said. The only
retort I would want to make is that JSON is here, whether we
like it or not, and real-world products have to have some JSON
story or suffer consequences. Of course, that's a hack, but
that's the short-term tactics we're forced to take.
I've made a good living for a third of a century doing
standardization, because I believe that the only "good" standards
are the ones that are clear, unambiguous, precise, and timely.
SQL is my baby, but I could spend hours pontificating about
what's wrong with it (from my personal point of view). I don't,
because that's far less productive than trying to fix what's
wrong with it.
Anyway, before I start rambling off into the darkness, thanks
again for your cogent and meaningful commentary.
