John Cowan mentioned his continuing need to assess schema
for compatibilty with Xerces-C "bugs and all."

Over the past year and a half, we have been actively developing
icXML as an accelerated version of Xerces-C, based on parallel
bit stream technology developed out of my lab at Simon Fraser
University. icXML 0.9 is available from our public SVN.

We will be presenting our work with icXML at Balisage 2013 in
Montreal, August 6-9.

Although our focus is on performance acceleration, we are also
interested to know of issues with respect to Xerces-C functionality
that we may address.
