Horses for courses. I have used Schematron myself - to help with routing XML orders and invoices within a shell script (some ten years ago). A colleague recommended it to a standards committee
too, actually instead of TAML-X as it happens, so he had first compared it to TAML-X and the OASIS Test Assertions Guidelines to see that there was no significant gap. I couldn't imagine my present colleagues prefering it over Selenium
or using it to unit-test (is that a real verb?) XML for their EDI. I guess I've therefore seen anecdotal adoption of it among XML specialists (in the standards arena, that is) but not
