Same here. We continue to use RDBMS, of course, for a lot of non-XML data, and one XML site which we built ten years ago using Oracle still uses it for XML, but our new (publishing) sites are all built using XML-native data stores. This has been for a number of clients. We've also converted existing SGML/SQL sites to XML with an XMLDB. So you could put iFactory on your list if you like, and some of our clients and their sites are listed here (http://ifactory.com/publishing/index.php) also. -Mike > -----Original Message----- > From: Michael Kay [mailto:mike@s...] > Sent: Friday, March 12, 2010 12:44 PM > To: 'Costello, Roger L.'; xml-dev@l... > Subject: RE: RE: Companies that have switched from > RDBMS to pure XML database? > > > > > Do you know of companies that have opted for XML databases > instead of > > free text databases, document management systems, operating systems > > filestores, or object databases? > > > > Yes, a number of my clients have done so, but I can't talk > about what my clients do without their permission. > > Regards, > > Michael Kay > http://www.saxonica.com/ > http://twitter.com/michaelhkay > > > ______________________________________________________________ > _________ > > XML-DEV is a publicly archived, unmoderated list hosted by > OASIS to support XML implementation and development.
