How many new XML documents are created every day? I mean here to include xml-rpc and SOAP messages, database reports, transcriptions of ancient manuscripts, XHTML documents, SVG illustrations, inter-component messages in cars, shoe-to-ipod signals (?), desktop configuration files, mobile phone 3G modem configurations... I do not mean to include transmission of existing documents, just as looking at a static HTML-encoded Web page with a Web browser constitutes a transmission but not creation of a new document. Any ideas? Liam -- Liam Quin, W3C XML Activity Lead, http://www.w3.org/People/Quin/ http://www.holoweb.net/~liam/ * http://www.fromoldbooks.org/
