> What is the best editor to use?

Which is best depends on your requirements, but if ease-of-use is a
priority, you could consider our browser based XML editor: Xopus.

XSLT is used for the Xopus editing view so it can easily be configured
as a WYSIWYM editor. For examples of that see:

Subject: Looking for easy WYSIWYM editor for XML

Hello.

I need some WYSIWYM XML editor, which content-manager (or writer) will
use
for creating XML documents in semantic format. DocBook for example.
It should be as easy-to-use as possible.

What is the best editor to use?

Thank you.
