From the original problem description ("How can I find out the node
which contains the 'aaabbb' text"), I'd even say:
book/text()[contains(., 'aaabbb')]
This is *the* node that *contains* 'aaabbb'. But you're right, the
OP is more likely to need one of yours.
PS to the OP: XSL List, at mulberrytech.com, is a better place to
discuss about XPath.
