RE: Common Word Processing Format

RE: Common Word Processing Format
I mostly remember him looking alternately put-upon and amused,
but overall, it was a productive discussion for me at least.
I understood the bit about session state storage, and
embedded docs, but the idea that the data was live got
past me. I think it important because it means this
is not just word processing but wp with daily mgt
built in. So what is core is now a bit more complicated.
But yeah, I think XHTML+ does most of that too.

So why exactly do I need OpenDoc or OpenOffice? Live updates?
Features I don't use? Maybe I don't. Maybe that market is
shrinking fast but no one is noticing because we are
conditioned to buy bigBoxesOfSoftware like we still buy
CDs when we can get the singles because we want the box.

Blur? I left $75 worth of insulin in the refrigerator.
The Hilton politely mailed it to me this week. Of course,
hot insulin has exactly zero value, so had they called,
I would have told them to throw it away. Getting the
free electric razor to replace the one they broke
means I came out exactly even. Not bad for a lack
of planning...

Sitting here listening to the new Kate Bush album
that I told myself I wouldn't because her stuff
always makes me crazy for the first few weeks
after I get it. Buy this album if you trust Sony.
So far, so good. Liquid and surreal....

I vaguely recall Brian Jones talking about this at your townhall ... but XML

2005 is a bit of a blur in my memory already :-)
