I wasn't going to tip my hand but ... keep your eyes on XML.com. I spent a good part of the last year surveying native XML database companies about real-world use cases and writing an article about the results. About half the companies participated, including most of the major players. The article should be published sometime in the (near?) future. The article was interesting for me because, while I have a good handle on how native XML databases work technically, I was pretty clueless about actual applications.
