Re: An unclear point with W3C XML 1.0 Specification
Hi Harold,
Using a name pool imho kills the inherent readability
of xml.
When a binary compression technique is applied to xml
such as gzip, this usually happens automatically.
In any case the main advantages of including type
information are not size, but rather parsing speed
and system reliability.
I need to take a break now... If somebody wants to
propose a speed challenge for me, I'll be only too
happy to indulge....
(can I bring out my processing grid?)
