XQuery is a good read-only data model for XML but a bad one as a read-write model. I wrote about all the frustrations of trying to build programming models around the XQuery data model at http://www.25hoursaday.com/weblog/PermaLink.aspx?guid=9b799a26-c1f9-40ba -9502-e30569c39e11 Of course, I wouldn't expect people who've only considered the XQuery data model for read only operations such as members of the working group like yourself and Dana to have come across these issues. -- PITHY WORDS OF WISDOM Anyone who doesn't think there is two sides to an argument is probably involved in one.
