 Pank, The more general problem of merging two files requires matching up corresponding elements at each level in the tree structure. You might like to look at the 'full context' delta generated by DeltaXML - it is in effect two XML files merged in one, but with the 'origin' of each item identified, and it is trivial to generate a merged document from this (we can provide the XSL). The hard work has been done by DeltaXML! In any case, you can use the free online comparison (see end of email) to check your results.
