Eric van der Vlist wrote a great article about this in Dec. 2001, "Comparing
XML Schema Languages".

If anything, support for RELAX NG has improved considerably since then.

Elliotte Rusty Harold's "Effective XML" book has a useful section on
pros/cons on various schema languages.
