create a new standard if one already exists.

use are the criteria for success, English 
and History majors rule and programmers
are losers.  Love your niche and protect it 
from predators.  Eschew cybergrafitti.

Just as students learning maths should never attempt to prove a theorem
themselves if they can instead refer to an existing proof?
