My first attempt to submit an abstract to this site was rejected because logging in required cookies. I expect this sort of brain damage from average web sites and developers, but it's disturbing to see it at the site for the preeminent XML conference. I would think the IDEAlliance would know how to properly use HTTP authentication and REST to design a bookmarkable, linkable, maintainable web site. I am now considering whether I should withdraw my planned submission on SAX conformance testing and replace it with one on how to build privacy respecting web sites that don't need cookies. :-( -- Elliotte Rusty Harold elharo@m...
