XML schema languages operate on significant subsets of XML data models.
For instance, there are probably an infinite amount of XQuery
expressions that cannot be described by any existing XML schema
especially not W3C XML Schema which it uses as the basis of its type
system. 

Conflating XML schema languages and data models belies an ignorance of
the topic at hand.
