I don't really view this list as a place like XSL-List, where you can get specific advice on solving a problem, and I don't really disagree with the "look it up" argument, but I'm not sure the "time" argument quite washes. I count one poster with 385 posts since mid January. That is some serious time. I don't think I've written 385 emails since mid January to the entire world, much less one list.

A proportion of questions, if answered more than superficially, would require many minutes to adequately draft a reply. Minutes that I (and presumably others) typically don't have spare. In reality, of course, the answers to many questions exist in books, online articles etc. Shouldn't the questioner take time to search for those?
