Here's another example, part case study and prototype implementation of a production system, part research project. After all, it's a Masters thesis :-) Basically, we're trying to build a non-trivial web-based workflow framework and reference application w/o writing any script or application code (or at least as little as possible), and putting as much logic as we could into XML. http://dream.sims.berkeley.edu/CDE/report/go-five-final-report.html ------------------------------------- Patrick Garvey Document Engineer Talaris Corporation 1400 Fashion Island Boulevard San Mateo, CA, 94404 (650) 212 8434 phone (650) 212 8499 fax pgarvey@t... http://www.talaris.com Red Herring "Top 10 Companies to Watch" InfoWorld "Top 100 Technology Innovators" Enterprise 2002 "Top 5 New Big Thing" -----Original Message----- From: Didier PH Martin [mailto:martind@n...] Sent: Wednesday, July 09, 2003 1:48 PM To: 'xml-Dev' Subject: An example of an XML usage Hi, Recently somebody posted on this list that some "real life examples" about XML usages are missing. Giving some more thoughts on this statement I came to the conclusion that it not a lack of projects that is missing but a lack of knowledge about them. There are no publications about successful XSLT implementations or said differently a place we can go to an read about "real life" case studies. Trying to remediate this situation and to get a break from recurrent XML dev's weather turning quite often into political storms, I probed the web and found an application that several web marketers or "affiliates" are using to "pre-sell" Amazon products. Enjoy some clear sky moment until the next political storm. Ref: http://www.php9.com/index.php/section/articles/name/Amazon%20PHP%20API.
