I know that it has been discussed that certain recurring themes and
permathreads occur on XML-dev. I believe the current revolution is estimated
somewhere around three months jokingly. Interestingly, though, I have also
noticed an emerging pattern where at any given time when a new user asks a
technical, answerable, question-- that there exists a thread which will
permeate into a permathreads which is more or less related. What is
interesting is that the order of appearance of each thread is remarkably
irrelevant.

Is it just me?
