I'm with Mike here. The basic idea is similar to what people do with 
regular expressions in Perl, except that they use XPath, which are more 
aware of XML, and the hosting language is JavaScript. Or something like 
XSLT where you use JavaScript + XPath instead of templates + XPath.

It looks simple and useful - what is it you don't like?
